Reflective Essay
After taking integrated applications, I feel that I know a lot more about software and computer systems, and I find myself using computers much easier than I did before I took this class. I think I am much more educated on the subject, and I think I will be able to use the skills I’ve learned for a long time.
Before I took this class, I had no idea how to use anything regarding the Microsoft software, and now I would feel comfortable using almost all Microsoft Office systems. I even feel comfortable dealing with Microsoft Excel, and I think I could create a spreadsheet with no help. Which in my opinion, is an accomplishment. I will most likely have to use these skills in the future, and I’m glad that I was able to learn them earlier on in my highschool career.
Not only have I learned about Microsoft Office, but I’ve also learned how to use multiple different websites for presentations, and other useful things. My favorite of all the websites we worked on was Thinglink because I thought it was much more user friendly than some of the rest. My least favorite website was Prezi because of how difficult it was to work with, and it took me a long time to figure out. We’ve also worked with photoshop, which was my least favorite program, and I found it very difficult to use. Overall, I think the skills I’ve learned in this class will be extremely useful in the future, especially since almost everything used in today’s date involve technology.
